Naming ceremonies

What's in a name?

Choosing a name for someone when they are firstborn, does not mean that that name will stay with them for life. Often it does, but life’s events and Free Will may bring change.

When giving, or changing ones’ name, either through marriage, divorce or choice; it is a defining day in that person’s life.

It is a day to celebrate, to acknowledge the new identity and glorify the moment with joy.

Without our name, how are we known, what shapes us, creates us and identifies us? Who are we attached to and to what family do we belong?

How do we relate to others without their name?

And how do we shape our world around us, without a name for something?

Part of being a parent, is giving a name to a baby, and often it evolves with other family members or friends as the baby develops. Some names have meanings. Others are more conservative or conventional. They may change over time as the owner of that name learns to be themselves.

Should you wish me to craft the ceremony when coming together to celebrate a naming occasion, then  the experience with you and your family would be my pleasure.

Honour, was birthed with Suzi Crockford from the finest iron and Ash and Deer hide. She invites the presence of Spirit or releases them to be free with beaters created from my heart.

Suzi  supports life's Rites of Passage.
The feathers are collected from Tawney owls and Kites. Most of the Tawney owl feathers were a gift. The Kite feathers were collected by me.
